The Plains to Peaks Collective (PPC) is the Colorado-Wyoming Service Hub of the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), a free, searchable website of digitized collections from across the country. DPLA connects people to the riches held within America’s libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions. By participating in the PPC, member organizations are contributing their unique stories to the collective narrative of America’s history.

PPC Facts

  • The PPC is a service of the Colorado State Library in collaboration with the Wyoming State Library, with funding support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
  • The PPC went live in the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) in June 2018.
    As of January 2021 the PPC has 59 partner institutions from Colorado and Wyoming
  • The PPC collection contains over 443,653 digital objects, including photographs, oral history recordings, postcards, yearbooks, pamphlets, quilts, clothing, and other cultural artifacts.
  • The animal in the PPC logo is a pronghorn antelope, a native species to Colorado and Wyoming. His name is Frontier!
